Rick Marson recently moved to Rehobeth UMC from Atlanta, Georgia where he had served as an Elder in three congrregation: Oak Grove (Decatur), Union (Stockbrige and Thomaston First UMC.
Prior to attaining he master's degree at both Luther Rice Seminary and the Candler School of Theology at Emory, Rick owned and operated a sportswear company for 16 yeas. For 7 years previous to that he was senior financial analyst and strategic market development manager for a Fortune 500 company. Prior to that he was a CPA and Senior Management Consultant for the international accountng firm of Ernst and Young. His undergraduate studies were in Accounting and his MBA studies were in Marketing.
He and Linda were married in 1973. Together, they have two grown children and three grandchildren. Their daughter is a teacher in High Point, NC and their son is a digital producer in New York City. Contact Rick at firstname.lastname@example.org
Anne, a native of Atlanta, GA, was appointed to Rehobeth UMC by Bishop Goodpaster in January of 2013. Anne received a BA degree in Art History/Studio Art from Converse College in Spartanburg, SC and the Master of Christian Education degree from Pfeiffer University. She completed her theological studies at Gordon-Conwell, Hood and Wesley Theological Seminaries. Anne received the Doctor of Ministry degree from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC in the Arts and Theology. Anne oversees our educational program and is the director of the Family Life Center. Anne has been married to Cameron Conover, Jr, since 1974. Cam is a retired ordained elder and member of the WNCC UMC. He served churches in the conference as senior pastor for 30 years. They have three sons and two grandsons. Director of Music
David is our very talented Director of Music. He is a graduate of UNCG where earned a degree in Piano Performance. David has done extensive theatre work in both Greensboro and High Point. High Point Theatre, The Broach Theatre and The Livestock Players Musical Theatre are a few of the theatres in which he has been involved. He spent three years as the organist at Rehobeth while a student at UNCG and returned to Rehobeth a few years later as our Director of Music. He has been in music ministry at Rehobeth United Methodist Church for over 25 years. David uses his God given talent to bring glory to God and to enliven our worship services. He is a blessing to Rehobeth UMC!
Director of Pre-school
Marcia is director of the pre-school. In addition to her role as director, Marcia serves as one of our pre-school teachers. Marcia is a member of Rehobeth and has two daughters.
Jennifer Moser is our bookkeeper and also one of our pre-school teachers. She pays our bills and keeps all our records in great shape. Jennifer is a very dedicated member of Rehobeth and serves the church in many ways beyond her roll as bookkeeper and pre-school teacher. She is married to Ken Moser and they have two daughters.
Lynda Hodges, RN
Having completed the Congregational Nursing program through Cone Hospital, Lynda is serving Rehobeth UMC as our Congregational Nurse. She provides a ministry of love and care as she visits our sick, shut-in and those hospitalized. She informs the whole congregation on healthy living practices and encourages good health in all areas of life. She also plans our Red Cross Blood drives, plans and oversees an annual community health fair, and coordinates our free Flu Shot Clinic through Cone Hospital. Lynda provides encouaragement and support for those facing surgery and hospitalization. Rehobeth UMC is very fortunate and blessed to have Lynda as a member of our staff. Marybeth Gentry has been our administrative assistant since May 2012. She has numerous years experience in several church offices. Marybeth is a native of Connecticut and lived in Delaware many years before relocating to North Carolina with her family in 2004. Marybeth is married to Doug Gentry and they have twin sons, Gabriel and Grant. They attend and are members of Friendly Hills Church, PCA in Jamestown. Contact Marybeth at email@example.com.
Gino has been the custodian of Rehobeth UMC for over 25 years. He is very dedicated to the church and takes care of our physical plant. He is always willing to help out in any way he can and always with a smile. Gino and his wife, Nhan, are members of Rehobeth. They have a son and a daughter.
